I deleted drupal_theme.info. Then when I went to my drupal home page there was no theme applied and this error was in a pink box:
* warning: array_map() [function.array-map]: Argument #2 should be an array in /home/mojave/public_html/drupal/modules/system/system.module on line 966. * warning: array_keys() [function.array-keys]: The first argument should be an array in /home/mojave/public_html/drupal/includes/theme.inc on line 1771. * warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/mojave/public_html/drupal/includes/theme.inc on line 1771.

I tried to emulate your error, I did get the error message briefly but then I scrolled down and chose save configuration again and the error went away. If that doesn't work for you I would just upload the file I told you to delete.

Hmmm I didn't have to do anything! I just went to it and it was fine. The theme is applied and there was no error!
Can I put more themes in that folder, so that I can try several, or do I have to uninstall desert needles in order to install a different one?
I guess the first page I need to do is the home page. Where do I start to build it? I plan to put my general info and contact info on the home page. Other pages I'll need will be "Agate", "Boysenberry Quartzite", "Chalcedony", "Chrysocolla", "Jasper", "Miscellaneous", "Selenite", "Specimens", and "Site Map". Are there any others which I should have?

You do not need to uninstall the desert needle theme, just put as many in there as you want.
For your different pages (Agates, Jaspers, etc): Go to Create Content -> Page fill in:Title, Menu Link Make sure Parent Item is set to <Primary Links> fill in body with you descriptions and images, I will explain images later. And at the bottom make sure published is checked. After hitting save you should have a button on the top of the window.
If you would like contact info or general info on the menu bar on the right and I will look into how to do that.

To add images to your content pages: Use filezilla to upload the images to Enter this code: Image only<img width="400" src="/images/agates.jpg" alt="Agates" /> Image with a larger pop up if clicked<A HREF="/images/agates.jpg" target="_blank"> <img width="400" src="/images/agates.jpg" alt="Agates" /> </A> the width parameter scales the image down for you. Make sure that Input Format -> Full HTML is checked.

I've been busy all day (it's 2:30AM and I'm STILL busy), so I haven't had any time to work on the website, and I probably won't have time until tomorrow evening at the earliest.
I'll install and try a few more themes, and your description of how to do pages looks like I can probably follow it. As for the image stuff, I think you lost me there, but I'll see what happens when I try it.
Thanks again! I think I would have already given up without your help.

Not a problem, at least it is one thing I can help with on this board until I get a few tumbles under my belt. The code with the image, that is just HTML code to have the image display, the thing to remember is to make sure the file names match exactly. I have had times where the .jpg was .JPG and it took me a bit to find it.

Well, I have about 12 pages. They don't have anything but a sentence or two of text on each page, but they exist LOL.
What's the difference between primary links and secondary links?
How do I add batches of rock for sale on the pages? I mean, like, integrating them with osCommerce (?).
How do I put the site "on line"? When I just type the site's url in an address bar, a page comes up that says it's going to be a future site on ATB.
I made a page and called it "site map". How do I make it a site map?
I have other questions, but I think I need you to actually see the site to know what I'll be asking.

Primary links and secondary links are really the same thing, the only thing different is where they appear on the web site. You need to go into one of the admin settings to set up where the secondary links appear, they could be listed on the right side of your page or on the left, depending on settings, we can do that later if you are interested.
Redirecting your web site: Make a file on your computer called index.html and copy this into it
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <html> <head> <title>Your Page Title</title> <meta http-equiv="REFRESH" content="0;url=http://www.dsmith.atbhost.net/drupal"></HEAD> <BODY> Redirecting.... </BODY> </HTML>
change the dsmith in the url above to your website address and change the title.
Then ftp this file to /public_html/, there should already be an index.html file here, go ahead and rename or overwrite the file.
The easiest way to integrate with osCommerce will be to put a link on the page that will go to your osCommerce site. So you will need to have your osCommerce catagories setup. I will look into the code for that.
Not too sure about sitemap, this might be html code that i can create once I see your page, I don't think Drupal has automation for this purpose, at least it didn't jump out at me.

Linking items from osCommerce to your website.
Once you have an item loaded into your osCommerce list of products you can do the following.
Click on the product in the catalog and the address bar will pop up an address for it. Ex. htp://www.dsmith.atbhost.net/oscommerce/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=29
Then this can go on the bottom of your page with the item for sale
<A HREF="http://www.dsmith.atbhost.net/oscommerce/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=29" target="_blank"> BUY ME </A>
This is a simple way of doing it, what this code does is if a person clicks on BUY ME (or other text/image) a new page will open up with this item showing in osCommerce.

So, are you saying that my customers won't actually buy ON my site, they'll get redirected?

You also have to install osCommerce, this is the shopping cart program that takes care of customers, shipping address, email order processing, prices, taxes, basically it is the store. Your website would be the "window display" to get people into your store if you think in terms of brick and morter retail stores.
Does that make sense?
Otherwise the only other way I can think of doing it would be to put a "paypal" button on your PAGE, but then the customer could only order one thing at a time and not multiple items.

So, every item I put up for sale, I'll have to list it on both sites? Double the work? Here's my old cheapo site I started... sites.google.com/site/mojavegemstones/HomeYou can see that I had it "set up" so that people would just have to do their own math and let me know what they bought in the comments section of PayPal. I thought that was a little funky, but now I'm thinking it may not be a bad idea. What do you think?

Unfortunately yes, but once you have one, you can cut and paste the other. There may be other ways to do it but with the current programs chosen (Drupal, osCommerce) I personally do not know of an easier way.

OHHHH ... so are you saying that I would just do like "select all" after creating the ad on one site, then just "paste" into the other? If that's the case, then that'll be fine, no problem.

You could do it that way but it would appear clunky by depending on the customers to enter all of the correct information. Another option that you might like is putting paypal buttons on the web site pages. Check www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_wp-standard-overview for more infomation. These buttons would need to be created using paypal's drop down menu systems even have the option of having buttons with different options (ex. sizes of boxes/amount of material). What the osCommerce allows you to do is to have x amount of products and when it sells out it will tell the customer that it is out of stock. Paypal buttons don't have that option, someone could order a product you don't have and then what would happen.

LOL thanks for that link! I never realized that PayPal has all of that! It has a shopping cart, and even shipping and tax calculations! OMGosh! That's all I need!
I watch my sales so that when something sells, I mark it as SOLD. On my site, I'll just remove it. IF, by chance, someone does pay for something that was already sold, it's REAL simple ... you just do a refund through PayPal. It only takes a minute, the refund is immediate, and the PayPal fees are refunded, too. I've had to do that a couple of times for sales on RTH, and it was as simple as can be. Of course, the bummer is having to tell the person that someone else beat them to it.
Most people who shop online have PayPal, but it also allows people to use debit and credit cards without having a PayPal account. I can also state that I'll accept USPS Money Orders from those who don't want to do online transactions.
By golly, I think this will work! Now all I gotta do is figure-out how to do it! LMAO

To make a HTML file just open notepad or other word processor and SAVE AS index.HTML
Yep, just copy and paste. The image will have to uploaded again but that is all in the form.
Glad you liked the paypal link. The are a lot of options with it for future developement if you so choose or just keep it simple.
Once you have things set up I will send instructions on how to back up you web site on the off chance something happens with the hosting site.
