If you were a fan of Cat Stevens back in the day you'll know how he left the music business and gave it all up in order to find himself as he embraced Islam. He was always one of my favorite singer-songwriters. He was up there with James Taylor, Harry Chapin, Carly Simon, Carole King, those types of singers. I always hoped he would eventually come back and make more of that music, but it seemed as it was never going to happen. Years and years went by and finally he has released an album titled 'Yusuf: Roadsinger.' It's like he never went away. His voice still sounds good and the style of music is classic Cat Stevens. If you liked his music then, you will like it now. Great CD.

I like Cat Steven's music too, but I can't stand the guy personally. When the Ayatollah Khomeini called for Salman Rushdie (who wrote a book against Islam) to be killed, Cat Stevens, who converted to Islam, verbally supported the idea fully. I can't respect anyone who wants to kill someone just because he speaks out against his religion.

I'm with Vance, loved his music but not his politics. Gotta go with Kev too, add Gordon to your list.

yep, i was a huge Cat Stevens fan, but when he went nutty-religious, it really turned me sour. still love the music, but..........i wouldn't buy a new CD that supported him nor his religion.
