I just had a "rude awakening". As most of you know, I've been going through really rough times for quite some time. I've kept thinking that eventually, karma dictates that my situation will swing around, that I have good karma headed my way at some point (balance). It's seemed like no matter what I've done, I haven't been able to break this chain of misfortunes.
Well, I was just in the Buy, Sell, and Trade forum, and saw that Ken (rockmanken) had commented on the value of the coral which Donna (damammy) has offered to auction in order to help me. It brought tears to my eyes that a person would sacrifice something of such value to help another (I'm always a cry baby when folks here have helped me). Then, I was thinking that if I ever have the money, I'm going to do something real special for RTH ... then BANG ... it hit me. At one point, when I DID have the capability to help and do things for others, big time, I didn't. I was a selfish bastard. I saw it all, like a movie, and I finally realized that everything that's happened to me, I've deserved. Every bit of it.
So, to all of you who have helped me in my times of need, Thank You Very Much. You're much better people than I've been in the past. I felt that I owed it to you all to tell you this, and to say that I'm VERY sorry that I've put a burden on you for circumstances which I brought upon myself. You've all shown me a lot of love, and I hope that I can some day be deserving of it.

Thank you, Steve. You're a great friend.
I only wrote the very basics here. There's MUCH more to it. It now doesn't surprise me that nothing's gone right for me in a long time. "Somebody" wanted me to clearly see the extent of what I've done, and it took all of this to make me see it. Believe me, I REALLY DID need to understand all of this. Otherwise, if I didn't, who's to say that I wouldn't have done similar things in the future? It's definatly a lesson I needed to learn.

MJ, I am sorry that Ken's post upset you. Those coral mean nothing to me, not even fond of them, but I own the inventory of a Rock Shop and just was trying to find something that might go over well for you. I have been there too. Anyway, I had to have been there to learn also. Not just you. We all want you to know that we are thinking of you and keeping you in our prayers. Donna

No matter what has happened, there's only one direction to go now MJ, and that is "up". We've all made mistakes in our lives.........trust me, Ive made plenty. The key is learning from them. I have found that no matter how bad things get, you will eventually gain something positive from them. If nothing else, they make you a better person simply having lived through them.
Where would we be if everyone based their opinions of us ONLY by the mistakes we have made? There is much more to each of us and I for one know that you are a good person that has offered a lot to the members here, and no I dont mean rocks lol. I mean friendship.

Donna, nobody's post upset me! There was just sort-of a blind-sided slap upside my head that I needed. Nothing that anyone here "did" here caused it, and if they did, I'd owe them a thank you, to be honest.
PRAYERS I need! Thank you!!!

MJ, I was just trying to bump the post as no one seemed interested. At $30 it was a real bargain. Just google TB coral. The second piece that I cut and she put on there is worth $40-50. BUT, only if someone wanted it. Otherwise, it is worthless. That goes for any rock. Just think, if you have hit bottom, you can join several of us. We can only go up from here. Think positive. I can't find any work here at all. The bottom dropped out about the time I moved here from NC. I am a general contractor and no one is building OR remodeling. I retired 3 years ago and live off a little social security check. Just turned 65 and they took $100 of it for part B. And, they want more for part D, prescriptions. Luckily I do not need Dr.s or meds. In fairly good health. Things WILL get better. Guess I will have to become a Wal-Mart greeter. ...............Will be a late day in Hell. Will starve first. Ken

Ken, I appreciate that you bumped it, and that you called attention to it's value. That's some nice coral! But, like you said, it's just a matter of whether someone wants it or can afford it.
BTW ... I'd GLADLY be a Walmart greeter! LOL

Shannon, while I understand about dealing with things and moving-on, I have a lot of serious reparations to make. Some things are beyond that, and those are things I just have to learn from. In many things, I just didn't see the forest through the trees. I didn't see the big picture. Luckily, there are some things that maybe I can make right, and if I can, I will.
