Good Morning All!!
Does anyone know if there are other diamond blades that I can buy for my WF 7"?
I am thinking that since my saw is still relatively new and I really have not had the opportunity to wear the blade out yet, I am thinking that there may be other and better blades I can put on this to make it a bit easier for me.
As always ... Julie

Yes, the Hotdog blades are great, they cut better and they're thinner. Home Depot sells them, but don't buy them from Home Depot, get them from the Home Depot website. For some reason, they cost 1/2 the price from there. To make it more cost effective, order at least three at a time.

Julie, I bought one of the Rigid 7" blades at Home Depot (I didn't see any Hotdog blades in stock). I think it was around $40. It made the WF experience much more enjoyable as it cut significantly faster than the original blade. Of course I was pushing WAY to hard on the original blade, jammed it up repeatedly while learning how to roll rocks though it, probably let it go too dry, etc. So it is possible that I just trashed the original blade. Since its warm now I cut outside and keep the hose handy. If the saw isn't spraying water I add more. I'll also spray water directly on the rock if it or the spray coming off the blade feels warm. The only Hot Dog blade listed on the Home Depot web site is a 10-incher, which is a tad big for the 7" Workforce. I ordered a couple of MK Diamond 7" blades from Amazon.com for $22.38 each. Haven't tried them yet - still trying to ruin the spare blade that came with the Workforce. :cheesy:

I use both the Rigid blade, which I got from Home Depot, and I have a HotDog blade also. Can't recall where I ordered it from right now. Both are good blades. I do all my slab cuts/big cuts using the Rigib. I use the HotDog for trimming preforms because it is a thinner blade, does a very good job cutting, and I want to make it last as long as I can. The Rigid id holding up very well to my abuse, yesterday I managed to hang two rocks while roll cutting them. The blade survived luckily. That is something to try to avoid having happen as it can mess up a blade. But, then, they hung only just enough to knock the rock out of my hand, Something to be careful about for sure. From my own limited experience, I would certainly recommend both.

I loved the original blade that came on the WF. I totally abused it and it lasted a LONG time. IMO, it's unfortunate that the exact replacement isn't available.
