It got up to 109 here. 50 miles South where my son lives in Modesto it was 111! I just love air conditioning. I wonder what our ancestors did on days like this??? Bob

Yup, been 100 or more here for at least a week. With the humidity that we have, the heat index is up to 105 and more. No rock or fossil hunting for me for a while.

Yep, it's pretty much the AC and the Barker lounger for me in mid day too. I remember those hot California Sierra Nevada foothill days too. Pretty hot but not "Texas hot". You see, in California it's "DRY HEAT" *LOL*. I don't know, it always seemed wet and sweaty in the foothills to me. It is pretty humid in Texas but man we're in a drought here. We need more wet but in the form of rain!....Mel

We finally got a break in the heat this week. We were touching 100 all last week, with 80-90% humidity. This week, we're back down to low 90s. I can live with low 90s!

Adrian, Don't worry about the heat in Modesto! When you stay there in August as a base for your Yosemite visit its only a "dry" heat. I just checked the newspaper and they don't list the humidity. It must so "dry" that its insignificant. Bob

We've had a wonderful cool spring so far. Lots of rain to knock down the pollen, most nights cool, heats up midday for about 4 or 5 hours but cools down again. Saves on the A/C at least for a little while. I'm sure we'll be getting into the low 100's this summer and then you'll hear us complainin'!

Dunno what 35 is in real temperatures but it's supposed to get that hot here this week, that will beat the record for Wales. ;D ;D Don't think I could cope with 100 plus.
Was out in Greece couple of years back spent most of the time in the shade, too hot.

Well, I think you are all having the heat on that side of the country. We spent the last 4 days in MA. Rain, rain and more rain...I think it was in the 60's yesterday. It did get into the high 70's on Saturday, before the rain. The misquotes were just coming out this morning as we were leaving. They are going to be bad this year with all the rain! Fran
