Has anybody tried to put an 8" blade on a Workforce trim saw? Just wondering - 7" blades seem to be an oddball size when it comes to diamond wet saws, while everybody sells 8-inchers.

Lapidary saws use 6" and 8" but the tile saw market has a lot of 7" standard stuff.
an 8" won't fit in the workforce I have, even if you could get it through the slot on the table and on the arbor, there is no way that the blade cover would fit, and it would hit the floor of the water pan.

Oh yeah, the blade cover - I forgot about that. Oh, well. It was a thought that perhaps should have never found the light of day!

My Home Depot carries several different brands of 7" blades including the well reviewed MK Hot Dog blade. I use the Husky brand, good balance of performance and cost. Some people here have removed the table to pick up an extra 1/8" of cutting depth.
