Today I decided to get some more rock cut up. After getting the first couple completely cut up, I decided to just take a slab or two off the rest or I would not have gotten such a variety. Here are just the end pieces. Dry Wet The last of this rock. Purple burro creek, dry. The end of this stone seemed to have a bit deeper color and pattern to it Wet Some lace I got while visiting with Randy, Tony T and Amber. Had a hard time getting this cut up it was so hard! Dry Wet The two on the left are from 1rockhound and the one on the right I think I got from dessertdweller Wet A close up I think I am going to post the rest in a different thread so I don't overload this one. Fran, that lace had me at hello. Love how you showed the cuts dry and wet. Very clever! Beautiful cuts-- nice and clean!

Gosh, Fran, did you do all those with the Workforce? I'm envious. I've been trying to talk myself into disassembling the Lortone 2-wheel cabber and cranking up the saw (I have one Black & Decker WorkMate clamping table that I use for both), but haven't found the "get to it" yet. Hard to talk myself into doing that much work in 100 degree weather! I have a bunch of cabs drawn out on slabs, so I guess I better get to it pretty soon.
I like that lace and the Burro Creek - good looking slabs!

The lace is amazing, a real wow at first glance. Your not going to cut it up are you (at least not the first one). Maybe someone could flat lap it for you.
