Mel, now tell us under what housing tract the rocks are now. I think most of the Horse Canyon area has been built over.

John, Yep, Horse Canyon at the time we went ( last big club fieldtrip that was permitted) was just in the process of being subdivided in to mini-ranchettes so I figure by now, it's pretty much built up. Doesn't really matter that much anyway though as we had a bunch of very experienced agate hunters that last trip and the pickings were very very slim. Without power equipment to break new ground, the area was pretty hunted out. I would have loved to follow the bulldozers around when they cleared the lots for houses though. I imagine they really turned up some nice stuff. Found some of my nicest boulders of Hornitos Jasper doing just that....Mel

Those are really pretty Mel, It is too bad that so many good hunting locations are under buildings now. Fran
