That is looking pretty nice!The first several slabs I cut are really thick! I look at the cabs and preforms I cut from them and think I could probably have cut them in half. That is just part of the learning curve. That looks like it will really make some beautiful cabs! Fran

thank you for the kind words and i hate to break it to ya all but these will not be cabs they are goin to be flaked and worked into modern arrow heads

I had never heard of basidian so I did a search (basalt and obsidian), this is really cool stuff! I ran across this guy who sells some cool stuff, look at the last ones on this page.... flintknappers.com/tomdodge.html EDIT: almost forgot...those are some really cool slabs!!

Outstanding Matieral! i`v e added this to my favorite list of Midnight Lace Obsidian,and Polish Flint. All of them have about the same pattern!
