Too Freakin' LONGGGGG!!!! ;D ;D Some new ones I've finished over the past little while. I am desperately needing a 3rd wheel for my Genie. It seems like that's the one I use most often and it's getting harder and harder to get the small scratches out of the center of the cabs. Don't be too harsh please Enjoy! Unknown Jasper collected at Fall Creek Reservoir in Oregon when I lived there. I love the orbs and blue in it. Brazilian Agate cut as Bob suggested. Thanks Bob for the advice. Different Montana Owyhee Jasper. Not sure if I've posted this one before. The next three have holes drilled in them for future necklaces Deschutes Jasper. THANKS DAN for the Beautiful Slab(s) Willow Creek My FAV! THANKS WOODY!!!! I've had this slab for a while and finally got around to cabbing it. A thin slab it was so it was hard to get a decent dome on it and get the scracthes out of the flat area. I'll most likely re-work it when I get new wheels. It's deserving of Perfection not Mediocre. That's it for now. Thanks for Looking. Steve

Beautiful work! I'm really liking that first one!
Tell us please, how to drill such nice, round holes in that hard jasper!

Mighty pretty cabs, Steve. The owyhee kinda reminds me of calfskin - used to see lots of spring calves with that coloration.

Oh, the beauty and the perfection is on your cabs! And where perfection is not - like in the last one, your exigence is and I bet you will bring it to perfection. It deserves. I wouldn't had noticed the scratches if you wouldn't had pointed them, though.

Beautiful! especially that red mossy/plumy cab! I think Diamond pacific need to put more diamond on that third Genie Wheel as that one gets a ton of use. Mine's already cutting way less well after only a few weeks. That's always the first one to go for me too. Guess I'll just have to finish most my sanding in the vibe tumbler like when my wheels were worn out before. Has anyone tried some of the alternative brands like Kingsley North to see how they last?......Mel

Very nice cabs Steve. The shapes and domes are great. I know what you mean about the wheels. I've had really good succes refinishing my Nova sanding wheels. I put about 3-5 carats of diamond powder on with a very thin layer of an acetone diluted epoxy. It works great for the 280 and 600 grit wheels.

You'll have better luck refinishing your sanding wheels with a small amount of diamond powder.

Steve, it has been way too long! I love the second and third ones. They give you a Picasso feel with those patterns and that last one is breathtaking! The whole batch is fantastic! Fran

Thanks everyone. To answer a few questions.... Tony and Rodney...I cut into the banding instead with the banding. I know Bob had put a picture up explaining how he get's such wild desgns in his Brazilians, and he's right. It gives a whole new design. megalotis...I use a convington gem drill with Lopaki drill bits for my holes. I believe these are 75 or 125mm. Dan...thanks for the advice. Maybe you could post a tutorial on how you go about doing something like this. I have several wheels that came with the Genie that I am guessing I could refinish with different diamond paste grits. Thanks Again Guys and Gals! Steve
