Great batch! Is that marcasite really dirty to work? I have heard that it can be difficult with undercutting. What do you think? Fran

Very near batch. I love marcasite but sometimes the darn stuff rusts up and falls apart. Really cool scene in that Montana!.....Mel

Maracasite is really messy to work with. The slabs I like are the ones that are clear with some marcasite mixed in. I have never had a problem with rust. Maybe the wax in the diamond paste keeps the air out. When I first started cabbing, I used 80 and 220 hard, 400 grit belt sander and tin oxide for the polishing. I had a lot of undercutting problems. I work 100% diamond now and the only thing I have a problem with is jade.
