Howdy folks, Well we're making up for our dry spells this month. Almost up to nine inches for September and more on the way. We needed it and it's nice to have down time to spend in the shop cutting rocks. Cut these four this morning. Thanks for looking....Mel Washington state snowflake jade: This stuff is so pretty and fun to work without a lot of undercutting. On the soft side for a jade but too hard for serpentine. Glad I got several faced boulders of this stuff off the prospector. One of the Moctazuma Agate slices I cut the other day. Love this stuff when I get a good one! Parrotwing from Mexico. Man this worked up to a nice polish. Wish I had more. Got a little in the estate the other day but not nearly as nice. Woodward Golden Plume. Dang but the best plumes always seem to be next to a crystal pocket. This piece was a single little biscuit I self collected but I found very little this color.

These are all beautiful. Is that snowflake jade transparent at all? It looks like it would be wicked if backlit.

Nate: Yep, the jade has considerable depth to it. The snowflakes actually seem to be floating in the jade. With a strong light behind it, does have a deep blue green translucency.....Mel

I have trouble picking a fav. I always end up going back & forth. Think its the jade, but that plume is awesome. I'm soooo confused. Jo

That Jade is gorgeous. I was looking at it real close and it almost looks mossy. The plume in the last one is a killer especially with the crystal outlining it. Imho, it makes the Plume stand out.

Another nice set Mel. Glad its raining down there so I get to see your cabs. I've always wanted to cab parrotwing and you did a great job. That Woodward golden plume is the best though, beautiful cab.
