Howdy folks, Well, got back from riding before noon today so I spent some more time in the shop fighting with some more difficult materials. Both of these have a few pits and vugs but were interesting enough to spend some extra time. Thanks for looking....Mel Got this small 1/2" thick cut from Jamie. All full of vugs and inclusions so by the time I got it halfway decent, it was a normal thickness but high domed cab. Not even sure what it is, maybe lemon chrysoprase. Sun went behind the clouds before I got my picture took so it's darker green that it actually is. Only found one biscuit like this my last time at Woodwards and I managed to squeeze two cabs out of it. Only plume this color I've found here in three trips and the sun came out so the colors are good, black and sort of olive green and rose orange plumes. Still has a few pits and vugs but I like it a lot.

When the moss is that color Mel, it looks like it is floating in water and you can reach right in and touch them! Both cabs were worth the extra time you spent on them! Fran

Sweet plumes, I agree they look like a coral scene.

I know that many cabbers don't like the crystal pockets but boy-O-boy that plume is sweeeeeet. I love that white line at the bottom that goes from the crystal pocket crests up to a tubey thing and then down into a line. That is cool.

That's a crazy plume, I really like it. I've been working on doublets with stinkingwater plume lately and I love the stuff.

Tony, I agree. Despite the obvious hardships working those contrary gulldarned plumes, still gotta say they're one of my favorite stones. Hard to believe such patterns and colors even occur in natural materials....Mel
