When I got into rocks again, I was going to incorporate them into my dino collages. So I got to tumbling. And that led into rock collages..which weight a lot, and keep shedding, especially in the rain So, then I saw cabs and thought...those are lighter. So I started to do cabs, and, yep, they are lighter. But, man, the work involved. I like the idea, and look of cab collages...but, it ain't practical for a collage A bot. Fire agate from a parcel I got from Jamie. This one has a cloud and I'm making a saddle trying to grind it out. Figured I'd photo it before I ruin it, trying to save it It has a nice pattern. Another I got from Jamie. This is going into a ring..for me Same stone. This is garnet in mica shist from near Clayton, Ga. A friend has this on his land and sent me some. It glitters like crazy, but, of course I couldn't photograph it. Some experiments with all labradorite intarsia. Trying to get all flash, all the time Not there yet, but I think it is possible. Thanks, Tony

Very nice cabs. That fire agate is sweet! I like what you're trying with the lab too. Fun to photo that stuff, ain't it?!?

When I spotted the intarsia cab I was thinking: what's the use of making intarsia using the same stone? But then I saw it's about Labradorite and its flash and then you're right.
My favorite is the 2nd fire agate.

Thanks, all Adrian...at least if all the intarsia pieces are the some kind of stone, they most likely will be the same hardness, lol. Ed, I'm going to keep working on it, but wanted to get a pic in case I go too far with it Nate...I never seem to get the flash to photo well....but, yes it is a hoot to work. T

Those fire agates are nice, especially the saddle. That schist looks interesting too.
