Hi everyone, Here's a cab I made using a tiger eye (the inner drop) and Oregon opalised wood (the outside). The opalised wood has a nice translucence: Thanks for looking, Adrian

Beautiful job on both the intarsia and the wrap. The two stones compliment each other very well. And the silver works well with the stones. Great job.

Thank you everyone. Oh yes, Steve, the fit could get way better! Why do you think there's that silver accent in the top? Scott, the steps were: 1 cut the opalised wood with a straight cut, 2 flatten the cut, 3 shape the drop, 4 put the opalised pieces together, overlap the drop and draw the drop contour on them, 5 grind the opalised pieces with a thin diamond resin disk, 6 epoxy, 7 cabbing. Ohh, now I see the glue lines! But you really chose the material well for hiding them, and the accent looks too good to be covering anything! I thought maybe you did fitted whole pieces (ala fairburned). The care and precision on your work is always great. Thanks for sharing it...

Really nice design and execution. I especially like the piece of wire that drops down the front.

Thank you again, friends! Ina, would you like to try to cab those ear-rings? Steve, if you send me a pic of you with punched ears I'll send you a pair of earrings ;D Tony, I'm glad you like that accent, even if it's hard to believe it took quite a long time to flaten, shape and shine it. Adrian
