Hello all, I posted a cut chunk of this stuff in the slab thread with info on its origins. Thanks for looking! Rodney

Is that rough finished, or the best shine it will take?

Wow Rodney, nice contrast and colors. Very much like leopardskin jasper in many ways, more of an orbicular rhyolite but in new colors. Very cool!.....Mel

Rodney, that piece looks great, even with your warn out wheels. I have not even attempted to slice up the poppy that I got from you guys yet. I guess I have to try it out now! Fran

Hi all, Not such a good pic but it took a little better than a matte finish. I think mel is exactly right about it being a rhyolite. None the less, it is a cool rhyolite. Rodney

Oooooohhhhhh! Very cool. I think some of the rhyolite I got from you guys looked like that. It came out really nice and I was able to get a nice polish on it with cerium on felt. Steve

Yup definitely cool. Did you try a polish on it or just diamond wheels?
