Howdy, Don't know if anyone has mentioned this but this months Rock and Gem Magazine just came and it's a super cool issue almost totally about agate this month with articles on Kentucky, Mexican, West Texas, Agate formation patterns, and Montana agate. Super cool issue to pick up if you're like me and love agate....Mel

If I had the time and was closer, I would work for him for nothing. To find those beauty's as they came out the ground would be payment enough.

This is probably the best issue in several years. I am so glad that they stopped talking about gold . . . . finally. That Kentucky Agate is some beautiful stuff !!! Who's organizing the field trip this spring?

Considering it is the only mag. left, one could hope that it would at least be delivered in a timely manner. I have heard every excuse there is for it being as much as a month late by subscription. Club show dates are about half over with before the mag. even arrives. For instance the Nov. issue arrive to me on Nov. 11 with the show dates for Nov. Not good for the clubs whose dates were missed. Once upon a time you could almost set your calendar by the arrival of R&G, not anymore! The usual run of the issue articles are not always that great either. Jim

That is a sad truth. Lapidary Journal was such a great magazine back in the 70's and 80's. It reflects the lack of interest in this hobby today. We had to shut down our club after 40 years due to not having enough members.

Yes it was fabulous, those KY agates are something else!!! Indeed the magazine has been lacking appealing articles for me, but this one was a winner!!!! Amber
