I hope Woody won't mind, but I am going to post some pictures of some beautiful slabs that Woody sent me. I was a bit forward and asked for a slab of the Hanson Creek Petrified Wood that he recently obtained at an auction. Some friends have that last name and I thought it would be neat to make some cabs for them for Christmas since Betsy has just gotten into making jewelry. She was also lucky enough to have her "number come up" on the doner list and just got a new liver and is recovering well! Now, all I wanted was enough to get a couple of cabs out of but Woody answered back that he was sending even more than the wood. He sent some other woods as well as all kinds of obsidian. I am in awe of the beauty of all of this stuff and his generosity! My pictures do not do any of it justice! The whole group Hanson Creek Pet Wood Saddle Mountain Bog Pet Wood and Clay Canyon Black and Snowflake Triple flow Burns Green Obsidian, Pumpkin Obsidian and ghost The green washed out in this picture but it is sure pretty! Thank you so much Woody! Now I have to get busy! Fran

What a great selection, WTG Woody, what a generous gesture! Frane you have some great cabbing material there. Looking forward to seeing some of the finished cabs you will do with them. Thanks for sharing, Daniel

Impressive collection, Fran - both in the quality and quantity of the slabs, and in the generosity I've seen from a lot of RTH'ers. Reminds me of the legendary motto of the Musketeers: "All for one and one for all!"

I am going to try and get out for a little while today to cut the preforms and get these to the head of the line for cabbing.... I cleaned up the rock room a bit last night and arranged all the dopped cabs in a styrofoam board to hold them...Yep, these are jumping way ahead of the rest. Fran
