At a recent rock sale, some friend and I were first on the spot and pulled out a barrel of dino bone at a $1 a pound. Here are two of the bigger pieces and my shelf of 'fragments.' [Mel - sorry no dino closeups - they came out a little blurry. If you want, I will try again in tomorrow's light if you want to see the cell structure and color.] 108 pounds - ready for placement on the side of Mr. Flintstone's car... End View - Who likes marrow? My daughter's new stool The fragments Oh, and for good measure, got these two lots for a $1 a pound also Variscite Bruneau

Man, I still can't get over that score! Great looking Bruneau for cabbing and it really looks like those smaller ( still huge) dino bone hunks are really solid. Looks like some nice color peaking through too....Mel

Your title is correct ("Once in a lifetime")! People who don't know rock would be happy to get $108 for that stash, but my oh my, you should be jumpin' for joy. I'm still waiting for my once in a lifetime rock sale. Garry
