Sorry it has taken me so long to post an answer to your question about how I mounted my Dragon's Tooth. I used 20ga hh square wire, shaped it and hammered flat, as in your tutorial. Thanks again for the idea. Then I added a piece of 22ga hh round at the top for accent. I then used epoxy 330, which is holding well so far. Because of the slope on the tip, I decided to not groove it. This works, amateurish, but effective! I underexposed just a bit to avoid glare and show detail a little better. Thanks; Mike

Thank you Mike for the picture. The bail looks very well glued on the back of the cab, there's a lot of cntact surface there.

That's a great look! If it holds over time you have a winner! Wear it to sleep in for a few weeks. If it comes apart it will do it where you can find it T

Well, it came apart tonight(Wed. night) I just don't know what I might be doing wrong. I also found some other pieces I had used 330 on, they pulled apart fairly easily. I am cleaning them all with some "attack", then I am going to try regluing one or two as an experiment. Got some new tubes of the 330, maybe the first batch was old. Am also roughing the stone a little more and cleaning real good with acetone. Whether it works ok or not, I think I am gonna try wrapping the tooth, as I am starting to get a little better at wrapping.

Too bad it came apart! Anyway, this means that beautiful cab will finaly receive what it deserves: either a beautiful wrap or a reliable groove wrap Adrian

Try Bond 527 - it holds almost anything and my father used it for years in all his jewelry creations

Why not try some a thicker CA (superglue) glue. I get one made just for jewelry and it works very well. I can still pull the bails off but it takes a significant effort. I wouldn't call your bail amateurish, it looks pretty good.
