Holy cow, Darryl - that's what I'd call MASS production! ;D All nice-looking slabs, too. I'm waiting until Xmas is paid for, then I'm going to have to buy a new Workforce - mine (from Lowe's, not Home Depot) has a slightly bent shaft now, and just creates more broken rocks than I can tolerate, so my cutting is on hold for now.

Wow indeed! You got a whopping big lot of slabs out of that much blade. What a variety too. I love seeing the kind of stuff you find up there in the frozen north....Mel

Definitely beautiful material. It's good to see how many cuts you get from the blade too. I never think to keep track of how much use I get form things.

You sure showed that blade who is in charge. There is some really cool stuff there. Make sure you post pics of your vibe batch when it's finished.

Hello Darryl,
Thank you for sharing your great results.
Just one question... Is your work... hand held - hand fed or do you use a vise and some sort of automatic feed?
If the latter could we please have a photo of it.
Regards,
Derek

Moondragon - I have already started cutting the preform shapes and edge grinding this pile. I'm about 50 pieces through that stage in two evenings work. It will be another week until they all are ready for my UV-10. That will coincide with me pulling the last polished load out of my UV-10. With careful planning, the UV-10 should never stop running, but I've failed to feed it on a few occassions.
Derek - All my cuts are made on a 7" Husky tile saw, similar to the WorkForce that so many have. All cuts are freehand which get more uniform with practice. If I "goof up" and cut a wedge instead of a slice, I will still finish it as a pendant. Many people actually like the wedge shaped profile of the finished piece instead of the perfectly flat piece. Of course, I tell them I planned it that way. NOT!
Darryl.

Hello Darryl,
I like your style. However, I was hoping that you had some sort of vice and freed that I could copy as I am reluctant to do it by hand!
Many thanks,
Derek
