I figured I'd better post something other than Agates. I had alot of FUN with these today and I'm THRILLED with how each of them turned out. I had some very nice slabs just waiting for me to do something with them...I couldn't resist! ENJOY! ;D Beacon Hill Agate. This one turned my water to mustard. I have no idea what the little yellow things are inside...but very cooL! Willow Creek. A little hole developed midway through...and I decided not to fill it in. I actually quite like it. Royal Aztec Lace. My 2nd ever Heart...and this one turned out better than I anticipated. This one is for a very dear friend that I ran into a few weeks ago. Haven't seen her for 20 years! Big Biggs Jasper. I am so envious of HPD's large sized cabs...I had to do one on this slab. STELLAR Dino Bone! This is a matching set and these came off a slab that I've had in my secret stash. Honestly some of the best Dino that I've worked and the pics do not do the colors justice. I am taking a silver smithing class mid-January...and I wanted a matching set. These are the candidiates...and I can't wait. Blue Cells (his) Red Cells (hers) I hope I didn't overload all dial-up users. Steve

Steve, the heart is exquisite! Really. Are ya gonna do something special with the dino twins? Are they too big to be earrings?

Wow Steve, what a batch! Each of those cabs is a beauty! I agree with you, the crater in the Willow Creek looks fine just like that. Good luck with the silver smithing class. Don't jump on those difficult pointy shapes though, I don't silver smith but know that pointy shapes are more difficult to frame than oval/round ones. But, bearing in mind your skills and your experience in metal working, I think you'll make them right from the first try.
