About 4 yrs ago my dad bought this Genie used. He never used it & gave it to me last year. I am getting ready to start using it, have no idea when it was last used or serviced. Is there anything I should do before I crank it up? How do things look to you? I did notice that someone had modified it by adding a knob that switches the water in the tubing from one side to the other but the right side doesn't work. I will check to see if the tubing is clogged. So far it sounds real good. Now to put it to the test. I tried to include pics of most of it, if you need to know anything else, just ask me. Looks good. Put some water in the pans and turn it on! It's kinda clean, though...

Last pic! Can you tell by looking at the wheels what kind of shape they are in?

Wow, that machine is in fine shape. The wheels look gently broken-in. I wish I had a Genie is such fine condition. Congratulations. Everything is as it was from the factory, including the little knob thingy. My Genie is from 1986 and I got it used. I cranked it up the first day and it's been running for 3.5 years, no problems.
Yours looks like it just needs to get covered in rock snot then it will be just fine.

Thank you, won't be long now and I will have it covered in rock snot. Did discover though that one of the geysers is plugged up. Any ideas on how I can clear it out?
