If you had someone at the show willing to look around, what would you ask them to look for? My head is spinning and all I can think of is everything all at the same time. Can I get some suggestions? Maybe some......................?? Your :2cents: is greatly appreciated. Geoff

That's a rough one. I'd say Bear Canyon Nodules from Montana and any kind of unusual plume agate....Mel

Well, I'll make it easy for you - I'd want at least one of dang near everything! At our little rock show in Fredericksburg, I am like a kid in a candy store. I would probably bring a little red wagon and go beserk at the Tuscon show.
Oh, how I wish I could go!

Thanks you guys. I was thinking about agates with inclusions. So I asked for Any unusual moss, plume, tube and sagenite agate. Also Bear creek odules and bots for cabbing.

I'd definitely keep an eye out for Blue Biggs, but that stuff can get really pricey!

Sugilite, Charoite, Rhodochrosite, Lapis I think there are a lot of good international materials there. For picture jasper and agate, I'd hold out for Oregon prices and come to one of the Pow-wow's..

This is what I would wish for. Oh wait! I was there and this is what I got me. Twenty pounds of rough Condor agates. (Stoner, I promise that I will not tumble them all. I will cab a great deal of them.) Condors shown wet. Ten pounds of Coprolite. Two kilos of Rose Quartz. Three pounds of polished carnelians. I am not above strictly polsihing my own. And a Native American flute that I have been wanting to buy for the last few years. I also bought these extra special Brazilian geodes to place at the entrance of my home. Price on them was not a factor. I happend to reach into my jeans pocket and had several, several thousands of dollars in spare change. ;D Condor

Funny you should ask this Geoff. My parents just headed south for the first time ever this year. They're less than an hour away and went to Tucson last week to go to a few rock shows. they're not into this hobby at all, but enjoy looking. I was wracking my brain for a few days trying to think of what to ask them to pick up for me, and it was like I knew absolutely nothing about this stuff, because I could think of NOTHING! What a bummer!

Condor, I used to see really large cathedrals and say "too bad they don't have both halves to put by....". One day at Quartzite a vendor had a 6-7' half on each side of booth entrance. My wife said "ok, now what are you going to say?". Seriously, when I found out about the concrete added to base and green paint applied to hide the repairs I lostall interest in the cathedrals.
