Hi All, I am helping someone trying to identify their jasper, The first photo is a very small view of the typical view and the second larger photo is a perpendicular cut. Please let me know what you all think or where I may research to find the answer. Take care, Brad Attachments:

idrockman,
I can't help you with the jasper, but I might be able to with photos.
Set up a photobucket acct and download the photos there. Then copy (I believe) the IGN link into your message here (you can do many) and the photos appear in your message. This allows the multiple photos display that you see here. Just watch out for the size of the photos (you can edit them in photobucket.)
Just a suggestion.
(Also - I'm part of a group creating an Agate/Jasper database and if you have any local idaho material in that group, please submit photos on my thread in Rock Identification along with general location - if you don't mind.)
Anyway, try giving the photobucket account a try.

Lowell,
Thanks for the tip, I have a flickr account, but did not feel like posting really late doing it. I will use your suggestion, but this was found in Oregon... Sorry.... Where is your Agate/Jasper database? What is the link so I can contribute.

Can't help with ID, but I like those pics. Look at the rock ID board to see if you can help with the database, we have some experts here, but another hand is always welcome...

Very cool, it actually looks like dendritic opalite a bit. I've never seen any jasper like that from Oregon.
