I really like the whalebone. I've got a pile of it and I'm wondering if I have anything that dark.
How's the pitting in it?

Beautiful Cabs Geoff! I especially like the Whale Bone with those very well defined cells and the Stone Canyon with the fortification pattern. Cool Tuesday Stuff. Steve

Thanks for your nice complements everyone. I do like the Kaleidoscope jasper though it's quite fractured. It reminds me of Morgan Hill material. I have one large chunk that has not produced a usable slab yet.
The bone is solid, no pits on this one. I have some brown bone that has hollow cells with no crystals (junk).

I'm really liking the Stone Canyon alot! It looks 3-D, kinda like looking into a canyon from the sky.

All terrific! I never heard of dendritic opal. Cool, and the stone canyon just got me lost in it for a minute solid. Great work.
