Finally,we went moose shed hunting yesterday(first time for me)......walked for four hours with nothing to find. As we were coming down the hills to the trk,I found my first moose paddle......FREAKIN' AWESOME!!!!!! Has a few chew marks on it,but I'll still take my prize! ;D ;D This will dress up my "antler" collection, thats for sure! (of cource,I forgot my camera yesterday)

Very neat. I had a set of moose antlers but when we moved out of the big house I had to give them to my brother. Curt

That is great , I didn't know there was moose in North Dakota. Are you by the Canadian border?

WOW!!! What a cool thing to do. Shed hunting. Never heard of that before. Condor Great $ in shed hunting now days...........Clean whitetail antlers are going for $6.00 a pound, others right in that ballpark. Moose paddles are the big bucks, they sell by the shed, most going for $100 or more! I bought a new deer rifle with my first shed hunt of the year(1989)......great way to collect, and get your workout in at the same time.

Been looking for a chunk of the bottom end of a Moose antler for a Billet to use in my Flint-knapping endevors but they are rather scarce here in Iowa and I can't scrape up enough co-signers to put in a bid on E-Bay.
Neat find !

I checked out the prices on the Shed link but the wife might start firing from the hip if she found out I spent $50.00 + shipping for a piece of Antler to beat on a rock with, BUT, $15.00 for a Wart Hog tusk for INDIRECT PERCUSSION, I might get away with !
Kinda-maybe-hope-so !

Nice Find!!! I've been out looking for whitetail sheds- nothing this year so far- couple dead deer and coyotes- but no sheds yet- Snow has finally cleared out of the deep woods so we are hitting those this weekend.
