Did a few slices of some new material today. Its flint from Moose Mountain Saskatchewan. "Moose Mountain Flint" has a nice ring to it. I'm one of the first people to get to collect there (last fall) but it was too cold to do some cutting untill now. Really hard material. The only problem with it is it comes in chunks too big for my 10" saw so I had to do a little hammer work. The pit owners said come back anytime so I'm hoping to arrange a club outing there this summer with the local group as its only 1hr away.
