Getting real close to needing a new blade for my saw. I have been using the one it came with (used) so I have no idea what kind/where to buy. Any recomendations?

I have always used Lopacki .Our Gem and Mineral society uses him as well. His blades are very affordable and they last a long time as long as you take care of it.I use the course blade .040 for $42 shipping included. I messed up and killed a blade recently, totaly my fault and he sent me a replacement for free. You cant beat that for customer service, I have one of those MK and it cost me $95 lopacki.com/sawblades/

I have used the blades Lopacki sells, MK-303, and the BD-303c. I found the BD-303c lasts the longest and holds an edge longer. ronsrocks on Ebay has BD's on for $53 US Or you could just call John JSgems

That's about what I paid for my MK303 from John. It's lasted a long time and is still going strong.
As for notched vs. continuous rim, I think notches are more important on larger blades.

The MK Hotdog tile blades hold up pretty good, and they are available for Home Depot, online, not the stores, for a very reasonable price. They are a wee bit thicker than a lapidary blade, but they will stand a lot more abuse, especially if you are hand cutting. Woody

I looked yesterday, but could not find the Hot Dog blades at Home Depot. Maybe they finally discontinued them.
