I really felt like a rock glutton this past weekend! I received so many slabs and rock goodies from our RTH'rs that were there!
Some of these are local rock from Catskillrock. I was really fascinated by the black/gray stone with the orbs. I can't decide if it is a fossil or rhyolite. He had lots of cool quartzite and granite looking slabs so I got quite a few!
The first picture shows a bunch of beautiful specimens that I received from jean. They are so cool, you can just sit and look and find something new every time you look at them! Here is another pic that shows them a bit closer
This is another tray of beautiful rock and slabs from the RTH folks. Mudshark brought so many buckets of amazing slabs! Some materials I had never seen before! Amber and Tony gave me so many things I really felt spoiled!
There is so much here that you can't see and some I still haven't taken pictures of but I am just overwhelmed with the wonderful things that were given to me. The best gift was the friendships made and continued though. Nothing can beat that!
Then, there was the sales. Amazing stuff there and of course, I would have loved to buy it all but kept to my budget. Once the cash was gone...I was done.
Some people don't like Unikite but it is the Virginia stone. There was a cookie tin filled with it on the ground. This guy was into fossils and said I have no interest in this so if you want it all for $5.00 it is yours. That was sold!
My picture is bad but I got two of these Imperial jasper stones for a great price!
This chunk of crazy lace. I bet I can get at least 6 slabs out of it.
A chunk of so so Rhodocrosite but I like it
A beautiful piece of Lapis Lazuli from Afghanistan
Golden sheen from Amber
Some great slabs
Tiffany Stone
Cool slab of Obsidian
Backlit
These were priced amazingly! Little ones 3 for a dollar. Medium are 3 for $3 and the large are 3 for $5. When I saw Amber sitting on the ground, I knew she had found a treasure trove! I had to join her!
OK, I think I have overloaded anyone's dial up.
Thanks for looking!
