I was coming in the house and snapped myself with the elastic on the face mask, that was after I removed my face shield and dropped it on the garage floor, leaving a nice scratch, staggered towards the door and caught a glimpse of my shadow... Hair stuck strait out so when I touched it, there was that combination of rock dust, and sweat , making it look all crazy! If you do a bunch of cutting, you know what I mean! I always feel like I should have gotten more done but I am pretty happy with the results. I have some real thick ones trimmed a bit. I will measure them and draw a line all the way around for a guide and I will slice them in half or in thirds on some. Had to hit the showers before I could go on. The lapis cut really nicely but the Dindritic Onyx really gave me fits. With flash Without flash on The slabbetts. The green ones are really soft and kept crumbling. That's OK. I will make something with them. Thanks for looking! Fran

Really cool, that's a lot of cutting, no wonder you were tired. Can't wait to see the finished cabs.

Fran: I know I was alone and I actually cut on Saturday! Stuff from our weekend, and again I said I hate cutting and will never do it again, LOL. And of course the neighbors always decide to have a bunch of people over when you are soaked dripping with sweat and covered with rock snot, LOL

I am still sore today but at least the hair isn't sticking out all over the place! A lot of this material was from the NE Roundup. My goal is to get a lot of the harder material rough cabbed and set aside for a vibe batch. Ed, you were caught! It is easy to get that polish on you and then, smear...I have done the same. Fran

Just wondering is the soft green greener than the pic and is the red/purple spots harder..if so could be Zosite w/ruby...the color just doesn't look right on the screen, and I probably mis-spelled Zosite? wouldn't be the first time Later, Ron

You know, I looked up the green stuff. I got it from dessertdweller and it is Atlantisite with Stichtite from Zeehan, Tasmania. It is a serpentine with the purple stichtite in it. I have another rock of it that I have not tried to cut yet. It is soft! I suspect it will be very pretty when cabbed if I can keep from destroying it. Fran
