I've cut cabs from it before. It works up nice, and takes a great shine. Don't know where this stuff comes from. I got mine when I bought a ton of material at an estate sale. Don

Just googled it. It comes from Chihuahua, Mexico, and gets its name from a village named Hildago del Parral Don

Yep, I've cabbed it too and I really like it. Generally the dendrites are really well silicified so the agate takes an excellent polish without the undercutting you see in some of the black plume agates....Mel

i used to have a bunch of slabs also, nice stuff. ralph cabbed some and it took a nice shine.
