What a great transformation! You did a wonderful job.
Is that reductor (painted in red in the 3rd pic) a coil/wheel one? Do you have any idea what reduction ratio does it have?

Adrian, that shaft has a worm gear on the end of it, which in turn drives a sprocket which turns the threaded feed screw. The worm gear is about 1/2" and the sprocket is about 4 or 5", there is also a 3 step pulley under that cover to change the speed of the worm gear. Hope that helps you find what you are looking for.
