One points out some of the downright odd things we see? As any American knows, we place our right hand over our heart when we recite the Pledge of Allegiance. Hmmm, maybe I am being too judgmental, perhaps that is where their hearts are... :serious: And for anyone who thinks this may be a "mirror-image" picture, please note the wedding rings on the ring fingers of their LEFT HANDS and the RIGHT side of the "Messiah's" suit coat where the buttons are.

Ugh... you guys need to use Snopes first... www.snopes.com/politics/obama/photos/lefthand.aspI understand finding something like this is exciting for the folks that want to see Obama fail but this is how all the misinformation spreads. If you get damning pictures in an email forward, I'd put my money on them being fake more than not. Repeat.. internet pictures are not credible sources.

*L* I seem to remember seeing actual film of Dan Quail having a soldier show him the shoulder fired rocket launcher he was holding shot the projectile from the other end. The end he was pointing backwards at the onlookers *L*.....Mel

One thing to remember is Photoshop has no political affiliations. Also, Snopes is not a left-wing group of extremists out there trying to save Obama. They kinda just hunt for the facts behind internet junk that gets passed around, no matter who is the subject matter. One thing I absolutely hate hate hate about the current state of our country is the need to make everything political. Every single itty bitty thing that happens now is because of one side or the other. Can't things just happen anymore for no other reason than them happening? Nope, because the people that believe their side is always correct (and there's a lot of them here) always need to make it into something political. That's my rant for the day. Mel, at least you removed your post that was the first response after finding this out to be inaccurate but still no oops from grayfingers. Ah well... probably onto the next doctored image that will show Obama punching the pope or something silly. Or maybe on a flight deck in a jump suit declaring the war on terror is over... wait that was real

Sorry all. I have not been on line since I posted or would have said something sooner. I have to say that is one hell of a photoshop job. I stand humbly corrected. It is true, too easy to believe things that line up with one's perceptions, and it is true that I do sincerely hope Obama does fail to complete his transformation of America.

Yeah, I've read the California couple than run Snopes are impartial but after reading about them a bit and comparing their responses with those of other sites engaged in the same activity, I'm a little skeptical. Problem is, all those sites are just run by folks and every person tends to have their own slant when it comes to politics. One thing for sure, the internet is sure a source for the propagation of modern mythology and anyone can plunk down their own opinions as truth. Still gotta say though that those debunking sites sure do spoil a lot of the fun we have taking pokes at famous folks *L*.....Mel
Larry: Problem with bemoaning the fact that so much seems politicized is that everything in our lives is now affected by politics. Politicians work overtime making more and more laws to govern our lives. It's truly become a war for the hearts and minds of America as we fight to make the leaders of both parties that control the country pay attention to what us citizens want. Politicians want power and to maintain power, they want control over every aspect of our lives including especially, financial aspects. They seek to make us all dependent on ( subservient to) them for everything, as that keeps them in control. IMHO, every little bit of control we award our leaders is a bit of our freedom taken way and every dollar of our hard earned money they confiscate for their pet programs or for redistribution to their supporters gives them a bit more control. Problem is, too many folks are willing to sacrifice freedom for a few entitlements and so, willingly vote to betray their fellow citizens by giving politicos more and more power.....Mel

I was expecting a little more flak than I got... phew Mel, I agree places like Snopes may write their descriptions in a slanted way but if that rattlesnake didn't really eat a buffalo, it didn't happen, no matter how you write it. As far as government goes, I agree with you Mel. I think where we may disagree is that I don't think Obama's "commie" or "socialist" ideas are what is starting it. Democracy has been dying for a while now. I know I've said it before but in my opinion the party system is the biggest problem with our elected officials. I know for a fact there are people out there that would vote for a person that is a terrible human being, just because he's in their party line. You hear them on election day... click click click click... and you know they just went down a line. Some people may not see that as wrong, but I see that as a complete waste of voting and think those people should just sit out the voting process. All they gotta do is think for themselves, but noooooo, can't do it. I say strip the party names and let candidates run on their own platforms, not ones they feel they need to run on (John McCain 08). Then we can restore the power to the people and not the parties. The flippin paties are holding us hostage and it kills me that nothing will be done about it. Thanks also for having a place here where people on all sides can have a civil debate with no hurt feelings.

Gray, my earlier comment was worded incorrectly. I truly think nothing negative of your character. I meant it to sound as if we'd see more doctored photos in the future, unintentionally. I didn't intend it to read that you were intentionally looking for fakes to post here. I just worded it wrong and see it now looking back. I have no negative views of anybody here.
Take Mel for instance. We are at odds with politics (and I'm not even a democrat), but I have a high amount of admiration for him with how helpful he is to people and his incredible knowledge of rocks. I have no problem seperating people's character from these crazy political debates.

It is hard to believe how delusional some people are when it comes to Obama. This is so obvious a fraud, yet many still cannot see it. When a factchecking group points out the truth, we hear excuses and accusations of bias.
This is not good for the country or for your own credibility.

I agree with you Charlie. It's amazing how delusional some people are when it comes to Obama! *L* but I'm seeing the statement in kind of an opposite direction from you. Umm How's that great Obama economy you were braggin about looking to you now Charlie? You still see your visions of glorious economic gains due to Obama's activities as being credible?....Mel
