The seller called this Spider web Rhodonite. The veining of the maganese(?) does not look much like webbing but I thought it was cool. Pics taken dry. Thanks for lookin'

I love how rhodonite works up! That black will get all over but it is worth it! Is it that light or did the pictures just wash out a bit? Nice patterns there! Fran

Fran - The pink is a lot lighter than most other Rhodonite I have seen.

If you have not worked a lot of rhodonite, be patient..........the areas most likely to fracture are along the longer straigther black ( manganese ) lines.......for your first few attempts.....I would say start with a large size roughed out cab....in case it starts to fracture, you may still be able to recover some form of cab....until you learn where your Rhodonite is fracturing....if you just slabbed those....then that is your pink....if they were already slabbed when you bought them, the pink could be faded as oxidation dulls un-polished Rhodonite quickly...the brown spots in your slabs are likely quartzite......which in some cases does polished nicely...good luck..Rich

Even if it is light, I think the cabbing will bring out some color and enhance your patterns! I am looking forward to seeing cabs! Fran
