I just bit the bullet, and replaced the old coated wheels with nice new sintered wheels that I bought from Johns Gems. Then, since the Nova was pretty well worn as well, I decided to refurbish the Nova with more diamond then it came with. To keep the coating smoother, I built a jig to keep it turning whilst the Linear Polyurethane set up. Basically it is no more than a base, twoo uprights with self made delrin bearings, a turned wooden shaft driven by a 110 volt syncronious motor rotating at 5 RPM. Here are a couple of photographs. Woody..........we be cabbin soon! The whole jig A close up of the drive

Lookin' good! I see you spared no expense on the friction drive too! Good thinkin'. Was it you who was making the 8" wheels out of MDF? Keep up the good work and keep us posted on the outcome of the wheels. Thanks for sharing, Dr Joe .
