I'm not having much luck wiht my picture taking lately, but wanted to post some slabs. Pleeez ignore the fingernail polish, been working in the garden and haven't taken care of the hands lately. Laguna Agate - and yes, those are unfortunately fractures..... I have no idea what this is. I didn't think the rock would slab, figured it would fall apart, but these slabs are solid. Will see how they do when I cut some shapes for Ed. What is this stuff? I think Mooakite Green Moonstone - kind of falls apart around the edges, so I don't have high hopes of this stuff turning into cabs Morrison Ranch Agate Pictures don't do it justice, lots of transparency in it. Havin fun with my saw!

I think they are all cool looking and worth a try at the cabs! Your hands look a whole lot better than mine do! Fran

Your hands look a lot better than mine after slabbing... or even before slabbing! Great cuts and big fun.

Photo 3 and Photo 4 look liike a course grained granite.
Salmon orange/pink - orthoclase faldspar (Moh's 6.5) Translucent grey/white - quartz (Moh's 7) Black stuff - horneblende or biotite (Moh's soft and will pit)
Green - the unusual addition to a typical granite. May be pyroxene or olivine.
