Hello, I've been replacing my plated burs with very high quality sintered diamond burs that I'm ordering from China. I've been using these for about two months and they are FAR superior than any plated bur I've tried. I was able to order them by the piece but now they make me order 5 at a time. So, I'm keeping two from each pack and selling the other 3 at no profit. This time I ordered four sizes and grits and i'm selling three sets with four burs in each set. All are on a 2.35 mm shank. Each set contains: (1) 4 mm round 80 grit (1) 5 mm round 400 grit (1) 7 mm football 120 grit (1) 3 mm rod 400 grit They are $23.00 for the set of four plus $2 for standard shipping or $5 for the priority envelope. I encourage you to google sintered diamond burs to get an idea of the price these usually sell for. Thanks and let me know if you want one of the three sets. Tim

Stupid question - What do you use them for?

Hi Donnie, it's not a stupid question . These are used for rock carving, things like jade, fire agates, etc. They can be used in Dremel's, Foredom flex shaft, or micromotor handpieces like I use. Most diamond burs are electroplated and sell for a few bucks each at Harbor Freight and up to $12 for the "quality" burs. From my experience jade destroys all plated burs no matter the price. Sintered burs usually start at $20 each and up past $60 (per bur) but last for a very very long time.

Thanks Donnie! I take Paypal under my e-mail address, it's tfields33@yahoo.com. Just let me know your address and how you want me to mail them. I'll get them out first thing Monday. Now I just have to ask, because you asked the good question, you do have a tool (dremel/foredom/etc) that takes a 2.35 mm shank . I'd hate to have you get them and then not be able to use these. If there is interest in more of these let me know. I'm trying to replace 4-5 of my plated burs per month with these so in a few weeks I'll be ordering more. Only 30-40 more burs and I'll have all sintered diamond burs in all grits! The shipping from China is expensive but adding more burs to the package won't increase my shipping cost. I could order more for board members and put together similar packs for you to buy. I'd charge the actual cost for me to buy including shipping. Tim

I was going to get a sintered set in several grit sizes but when I found the price per burr I kinda put that way on a back burner. I will work slowly at building a good sintered set while I use up my cheap sets. Donnie if you want a cheap set let me know and I will toss one in the swap we are doing

Tim, I have a rotary tool that I bought from Fire Mountain Gems. I will have to check to make sure it will . It has about 5 different size things (can't think of what you call them right now) that different size shafts fit into, so I am pretty sure that they will fit. Diane, I got a kit of different stuff when I ordered the rotary tool. I have no idea if something like that is in it so yes, that would be great! I still haven't figured out what to use all those different pieces for!!!!

I bought two different dremel kits and I still have bunches of stuff that I use very randomly, like the cut off wheels blades and sanding stuff that is for wood, plastic and metal. A lot of that stuff you will never use unless you get into some sort of wood craft or plastic crafting hobby.
Just remember that when you use the diamond burrs you need to work wet to keep them cool and they will last.

soapstone, alabaster, pipestone are all very soft and easy to carve into shapes, easy to clean up and polish the finished item too!
