I recently went to a place near bishop, CA in the coyote fronts mountain range that has some pretty spectacular garnet in it. I brought a bucket of the sand home unsearched and also some garnet to seed it with. I would like to see if there is enough interest in buying this for me to warrant going back to get more, so I am going to offer a small FRB full of garnet sands for 7.50 plus shipping, provided that I get an honest opinion of how you would have felt to spend 15.00 on them. If I ever decide to sell these again it with be at least 15.00 per FRB, but I want to make sure people think it is a good deal before I charge full price. Since this is a test run I would be happy to refund your 7.50 if you are not happy and keep the garnets. I got this material in search of faceting rough but I could not find a lot over 2 carats, which is a melee stone when you are talking about garnets. Some of the material you will receive will be facet grade, albeit smaller, and all will be specimen grade. A few of the crystals would also make nice cabs but most of the unfractured ones are too small to mess with for most people.
I really have no idea if people will like this or not so I am just throwing it out there to see if people like it, which is why I offer a money back guarantee that you like it. I am going to post one picture of the average garnet specimen you would expect to find 2 or 3 of, and in the morning I will post more pictures that illustrate what kind of material this is. Please contact me by email instead of PM because I tend to loose track of the specifics of the order due to its design.
