I bought my Highland Park 16 in saw over a year ago. It had set up probably 8-10 years wthout being used.I am still cutting with the blade that was on it when I got it, not having any problems yet, but I know it aint gonna cut forever.I've cut many a slab with it. All I know about the blade is its segmented and was red. Would anyone have any idea about who made the blade? Was this sold before the Chinese blades? I'd like to know so I could buy another one like it when needed. Thanks,
snuffy

If you mean "notched" (little notch segments round the rim about 1/8"- 3/16" wide) it is one of the old MK/Barranca/Star Diamond blades no longer made or available. Measure your saw. If it was a 16" model it will take an 18" blade also.

Diamond Pacific and Barranca Diamond are both making upgraded versions of the Highland Park saws. DP bought out HP, and has all of the patents and many spare parts for HP saws. Maybe they can tell you what brand of blade you have. Don

The old Star Diamond furnace went to Mexico several years ago so the red and black notched rim blades are no longer being made. The current "notch rim" is similar to the 303C with notch like segments around the rim. It is called a 301 and is actually superior to the old red notched rim blades. The original notched rims were used by most American manufacturers and were in many cases painted to the customer's desired color.
