Howdy folks, Spent awhile cutting some odd ball specimens I've been digging from my bins. Mostly these are one of a kinds where I'm lacking a cab for my display cases so I thought I'd give them a try. Most are pretty disappointing. Anyway, thought I'd post the pics anyway. Thanks for looking.....Mel The only piece of Paisley Plume Agate I ever found back in the Palo Verdes in California. Not from the vein but rather just float from nearby. I was hoping it would get more solid as I got into it but it actually got worse. My only piece of Plume from the Bullion Mtns of Calif. Now a military reservation. Agatized barite nodule from Utah. Kind of ehhh! Closer shot: Cuts from a strange limb cast agate from northern Nevada. Contains white and black dendrites throughout. Closer shot:

Mel, I bet if you cabbed that barite with that orange fireball in the middle it would be an outstanding cab!

Oddities for sure, but I like 'em all.

I'm with Donnie - that fireball has great potential.

Very nice oddballs Mel, but far from duds.

I bet, you will end up with some great cabs out of these, even though they are less than what you expected them to be. Make sure you show us your final results! Fran
