Howdy folks, Whew! Was just sorting laundry while sawing rocks and found a dandy bark scorpion in my gym shorts. Them was some sweaty shorts so's it goes to show ya scorpions can flat survive anywhere *L*. Glad it weren't clean shorts I was fixin to slip on! Anyways, here are a few pics of my cuts today. Thanks for looking.....Mel Another hunk of Firefly Jasper, this one with a ton of bright pink. I think this just about finishes my stuff small enough for my saw. I'm working on some goods for a trade if the other feller can come up with something of interest, so I had to saw up everything I could locate. closer look: While going through my bins, I found a hunk off the small orb poppy vein that was small enough for the saw. Most of this I have is in big blocks. As you work through the stone it gradually changes in pattern to the strawberry seed/poppy seed type jasper. I was lucky enough to nab quit a bit of this poppy jasper before the doctor built his home on the deposit. Actually, it was not a great loss because the dang deposit was full of poison oak roots and I got into them good one time and wound up going to the hospital. Sometimes gold bearing sulfides add a little sparkle to these slabs. Closer looks:
