This is Dick Daniels. He is a friend of our member MontanaMuskrat (Tom and Debby). Many years ago, Dick was able to acquire some very nice Fire Agate from a gentleman who kept them in jars with water. Dick created some beautiful wire wrapped jewelry pieces with them and showed us some of his rough. I was lucky to spend some time with Dick, Tom and Diane (drocknut) recently and be able to see some of his incredible Fire Agate up close. Here are some pics: A Fire Agate Turtle and Butterfly A few pieces of his Fire Agate jewelry You can see more of Dick's jewelry here: forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=wwp&thread=39435&page=1Sorry for the bad pics, there was alot going on, and took them on the fly. Hope you enjoyed. Jo

Very cool. Didn't realize fire agate needed to be kept in water.

Dick is an amazing guy. His fire agates were amazing and so where his other creations. I liked the turtle too.

Todd, it really doesn't, and I asked the same thing, apparently the guy had them in water in order to best see the fire. Jo
