I found this agate early this past spring on the east side of Cape Split N.S. 6+ lbs This agate is from a known seam/slide the main find was 20 years ago now we just find a piece once in a while.

Thanks. This is one of my finer flame agates and yes i have thought of slabbing it and selling a few pieces. I have a couple of smaller pieces one with a blue agate center instead of the quartz.

oh yes Darryl a hard hike indeed. The Golden Flame slide is on the north side of the Cape, we climb down the ropes to rope beach then head west, about 1.5hrs hike to the slide and as you know wet slippery rock are no fun to walk on. A boat could be launched on the Scotts Bay side but i would not try to go around the pillars, very dangerous.
