Just wanted to say "Welcome" to all visitors and newcomers here, and maybe post a little warning... well, my warning doesn't really require any explanation, I'll let the graphic explain it for me... If you don't get it, well, once you start here, you'll find this so addictive that your brain will suddenly, one day, solidify and you'll find yourself with pieces of rock all over your house, including odd places like your closet and your bathroom. Once that happens, there's no turning back. It's like the Hotel California... You can check out any time you like but you can never leave........

You got that right Chromenut! Once you check in, just try to walk around, anywhere, and not look down at every rock you see and not wonder what it will look like once you cut and polish up! Welcome Skeeter, and all others to this great site!

A big Texas howdy to all you folks out there. Just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Cindy Briggs, I live in South Texas and I work on a 3,000 acre ranch where I spend as much time looking down at the ground for rocks as I spend looking after the cattle, horses, and deer. And so far, this is the best site yet: everyone is so friendly. I was having problems getting my pics published, but several members came to my aid-problem solved. Yes, your warning is true. My quote for the day: Rockhounds never die-they petrify. And thank you all.

HmmmmI suspected my brain looked like that,,,,,,. The large drusy in the middle explains a lot. That's where things get stuck that I forget. LOL Welcome everyone. This place is a lot of fun. It gets to the point where your day just isn't complete if you haven't been to RTH yet. I find myself looking at the gravel in the parking lots here. I wonder where they get it? It has some great stuff in it.
