Gorgeous cabs, Curt! To me, they look like they are drawing me in toward some distant point - quite stunning, really.

One of my DUH questions ....
Bot? Is that Botswana Agate?
They seem to have a wider band pattern. Or Am I off base?
They are really pretty!

No mangle at all. You framed the pattern on that last one so beautifully. That one is my favorite.

John: I've read somewhere that the red bots that have that carnelian color are heat treated. Once and awhile though, you will get a bot that grades into the more pink tones that appears, to me, to be totally natural. I suspect this is due to long surface exposure as when I've dug nodules at the Hauser beds in California, the nodules I've dug were usually pale blue to gray, while those found as cores or broken nodules as surface float that have had long exposure to heat and sun are often very colorful with more reds etc.....Mel

As far as I know this has not been tearted. They came from a 30 year old bucket of tumbling chips. I picked out the ones that were cabbing size.
Thanks for the comments everyone!
