Well, another couple inches of cold last night so this sure cleared the chill.
Bill, the opals are gorgeous and however you did your pics, it really does a beautiful job showing them off. Wow!

Wow. I love that andamooka! The fire on all of them is excellent. I like how you shaped the white ones, and you most certainly did a great job of bringing out the color. If I may ask, what grade are the andamooka? They look like high grade, great color. What would those appraise at? Also, how much for, say, an ounce of the rough? Currently, the best I am working with is some medium grade. When I have a bit more practice, and as I can afford it, I want to get some of the better grade material. I think I am getting hooked on opal!! Thank you for showing those, very inspiring!

Thanks for the comments , Mike If you think you are hooked you probably are , I don't know too much about grades, if I see a jar with plenty of color and not too much sand or potch for a good buyers price I find it hard to refuse. I was fortunate that I met an old fella who was getting out of opal so I got some for a good price. I normaly shape my opals so I keep as much stone as possible which makes for some fummy shapes though..Bill
