If it's in good condition, it's worth 900 in a heartbeat.

That's a smokin' hot deal then if it's really a 24" saw. a blade that size will be costly though...

Even if you have to rebuild some of it, in my opinion...

If you haven't already jumped on it, you'd better hurry up before someone beats you to it. Those old H.P. saws are hard to come by, and built to outlast several owners. Don

I haven't seen it yet, plan to go next week (it's a bit of a drive), it will still be there. Hope it has held up like you say (It is 7 years older than me, and I'm still doing ok). The saw was used to cut softer material with water, I was worried about rust but the owner said if it was sitting it was drained, some surface rust but no holes, and always stored inside. They used it lots when new, but less and less, and not at all in the last 10 years. The owner said what they were cutting had to be true, and the saw still cuts as it should. The 24" (hopefully) will be a bonus (it has an 18" blade in it), I have a 12" Lortone so the Big money blades should last, only cutting big material. I'll let you know when I have it home. Thanks for the encouragement, Doug

That looks a lot more like an 18" than a 24" saw. My buddy a block away has a HP 24" and it is a B-I-G piece of machinery. That being said it is a STEAL at $900. You better get it or hate yourself later.
