LOL Christopher asking Ken if he has a lot of it is funny to me I have seen his car dragging the ground with all the floor boards and trunk covered in Lazulite from Graves. If you are wanting some and he don't have any he wants to get rid of give me a yell I have some and will be going back there digging at the end of the month. Keith

Yea Keith, every time I would go I would get 6 5 gallon buckets full(all I could haul) and break up and give away 6-10 buckets full while there helping everybody else get some. It is probably pretty well played out by now. Soon there will be no more. A few boulders are in the sulphuric acid pool. There is some blue quarts in a boulder the size of a house back around to the left in the woods from the lower 3rd pit. Left around the lazulite boulders. Not as pretty as the lazulite, but still nice. Also, there is some at the base of the wall where the cave is that is off limits.

Those are some real pretty cabs! I absolutely love the contrast of the two colors. It doesn't look like much just as a rock but when you get it all polished up that whitish grey color turns silvery looking & the blue just gets pretty. Yep, one of my favorites!!!

Ken:
I don't know that it's really played out yet....my husband and I went in October last year...I'm a newbie rockhound (beginner's luck?!)...he's been collecting for 50 years! So we go to Graves for the first time, start collecting in an area where there wasn't supposed to be anything (didn't know any better, should've realized, since no one else was collecting there!). I love blue, so I thought, if I could find some lazulite, it would be great. I found lots of tiny little pieces with micro crystals. So, I see a little rock exposed in the dirt with two crystals about 3 to 5 mm in size and I start digging it out....it's 'attached' to a bigger rock...so I keep digging, call for hubby's help, and he muscles it out...
End result...an 80 pounder of hard matrix quartzite with tons of blue! Even Junior and Rick were impressed. So I come home and have to track down equipment (from a 91 year old retiring lappy!) and now am busy teaching myself how to cut rock. Of course...now that I've seen it...I want rutile!!! Only 13 days until Graves....
