Hey Geoff, that's a sweet cab!!
If I'm right, that material was originally collected by an old fella that lives in Victoria, Tx. Let me explain; a couple of years ago I got word from Rockhobbit that a long time collector was selling most of his rock. I drove down from Houston and picked through several tons of rock he had in his backyard and I wound up buying about $800 worth of stuff, not all of it was for me though. I also learned from Rockhobbit that Riverbend lapidary was driving down from San Antonio w/a trailer to buy as much as he could carry!
The reason I think that your Bouquet agate came from there is because I bought a 5 gallon bucket full of those agates, there was a couple more buckets full that I left there as well.... I would bet good money that Riverbend purchased the remaining buckets of Bouquet agate.
Anyway, you got some very nice Bouquet!! I would guess that it would be considered 'old stock" because it was probably collected 40 yrs ago!
Dan
